Dave Pastorkovich completed a thirty-five year college coaching journey in order to join Compass Sports. He began his career at California University of Pennsylvania where he assisted in turning an also-ran into a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Champion and a perennial winner. His final recruit at Cal is still the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder.

Pastorkovich spent eighteen years at one of the top academic institutions in the country, Carnegie Mellon University. He was responsible for recruiting 39 all-conference players. Dave was also a part of the greatest season in school history which resulted in the 2006 University Athletic Association Championship and a win over Division l Princeton University. He is also a two-time recipient of the University Athletic Association Coaching Staff of the Year Award for 2005 and 2006.

Pastorkovich spent 16 seasons at Thiel College. His work in the 2011 helped to produce a record setting season which culminated in a Presidents' Conference Regular Season Championship. His recruiting efforts resulted in 15 players being named all-conference.

In addition to his coaching experience, Pastorkovich spent thirty-six years working in public education. Dave is a certified reading specialist who spent time working with students experiencing reading and writing difficulties in grades K-12.
